i have created a beautiful docking port that allows direct mechanical connection between objects in space! unfortunately, the docking port is not very good at holding the two objects together while accelarating, but that is simply because it has very small parts that do not deliver much force to hold the craft together. another awesome thing i have to mention is that the docking ports enable crossfeed when connected! Use the mechanical arm to bring the two docking ports together. Once they are close, open the dock hooks, finnick with the controls a bit to get the docks as close as possible, and once the spike shaped aligners touch, close the dock hooks and open the crossfeed hatches.
