I definately agree with this. However, in some cases, the creator gives permission to people ahead of time, and it gets confusing and mixed up like that.
X ray when is the latest update coming out cas the tablet version does not have the text option
BlueKazoo -- Yeah, things aren't perfect, but we try to make the best of what we have to work with. Thanks for your comment.

Chipej17 -- Algoryx (the company that owns Algodoo and Algobox) has no plans in the near future for updating either one. In the long term, that may change.
Thanks
nice, still fresh after my breakdown
thanks for uploading this.
For the benefit of those who do not understand the concept of asking permission versus giving credit, I like to use the following example situation which helps to make them understand the difference:

Let's say you take your neighbor's car for a joy ride without his permission. While you are driving around the city, you yell out the window, "Credit to my neighbor, mister Smith who owns this car!". When the police catch you and arrest you, you say to them, "I thought it was Okay to take his car because I gave him credit while I was driving it!".

This story is of course rather silly, but whether you take someone's car or someone's Algodoo scene, the concept of asking permission before taking someone else's property is exactly the same.

And finally, someone made a scene where they say NOT to copy others:D
im so happy right now:D
Not to copy "without permission".

By the way, this wasn't the first time I've posted this type of message scene about not copying without permission. If you go back through the archives, you would see at least two or three other times over the past few years that I have posted that message. The new people need to be informed, and the older people need to be reminded. ;)

^^^
i still dont like copiers
Im probably the only one that cant use other peoples stuff despite me asking to.
:) now my water pump won't get copied
Does this still apply if a scenes description directly states "Free to copy" or "Free to copy with credit"? (Or an object elseware in the scene with text saying that, or polygons spelling that out, you get the idea)
Kind of an extension of my previous commnet, What if person A made something, then person B made something thats incredibly similar or even exactly the same? Person A goes accusing B of copying them, even though B made their device from scratch, it just happens to be similar?
MoBuilds - Yes, of course if someone writes "Free to copy" or something similar, it means exactly what it says.

Concerning your second question, that will rarely ever happen, but if it does the two users will just have to work things out as best as they can on their own. I will not get involved in that sort of petty dispute unless it starts to get really ugly. In that case I might need to step in and tell them to settle down before someone does or says something that will get him/her banned.

Like I stated in one of my other message scenes, I do not have the time or the desire to spend my time trying to determine who the blue marble belongs to!
