I'd tried here to use lasers, scripts and adhesion for making cannon ammo (as a more stable and safe alternative to spring-based, that will work without eraser within scene).
It's my old scene, so it far from ideal, but would be used as example etc.
Controls:
Up/Down - aim cannon
Left/Right - carriage movement
Num0 - shoot
NumDel(.) - toggle wheel brake
Note: if you keyboard without numpad you can rebind hinges or use virtual in-game keyboard *works in play-mode and when this keyboard is selected to show in menus options.
Usage of cannon: copy ammo (you can delete fixjoint and also use sample), drag it in breech (it will "glue" to inner barrel part, so ammo won't slide out), aim, and then shoot.
PS: ammo's case sometimes stuck, just drag it out. It caused that adhesion, that keeps ammo in breech, close to backforce power (that cannot be too large, cause then shell case will fly too far and fast). Maybe, sometime, when I will be less lazy, I'll change adhesion lock to mechanical. |
