This improvement to Algobox is something that many of you have been waiting for! You now have more power to select the type of scenes that you will see in your search results and in the Highlighted Scenes. Here's how it works:
If you access Algobox through a standard Internet browser, such as Internet Explorer or Chrome, then at the top of the main page, you will see a link labeled "Settings". When you click on that link, you will be taken to the Settings page.
If you access Algobox through Algodoo (the program in your computer that you launch in order to download and upload scenes) then you must click on the Algobox icon at the left side of the screen, and then click on "My Scenes". You will then see the "Settings" link on the left side of the page. When you click on that link, you will be taken to the Settings page.
The Settings page allows you to select and adjust a few personal properties such as your Time Zone, Language, and the ability to change your password. There is also a list of "Groups" that gives you the ability to hide one or more groups of scenes that you have no interest in seeing. For example, you would select (highlight) the group labeled "Bug reports" if you do not want to have scenes in that group display along with all of the other displayed scenes. On the other hand, if Bug Reports scenes are the only scenes that you are interested in, then you can highlight every group in the list EXCEPT for Bug Reports, and then those are the only scenes you will see!
We have created two new groups after receiving suggestions from many users. One is called "Marble & Athlons & BFDI & Camps", and the other is called "Technical". The "Marble..." group is mostly for the younger users who enjoy posting and downloading those type of scenes, and the "Technical" group is mostly for the advanced users who enjoy posting and downloading complex scenes and/or scenes that were made using Thyme script programming.
Remember - when you select (highlight) one or more groups and then click on the "Confirm" button, scenes that are in those groups will NOT be displayed. If you are interested in a particular type of group (Technical, for example) then make sure to place the scenes that you upload in that particular group. You cannot select a group if you upload your scenes from Algodoo. You can only select a group if you upload your scenes through a standard Internet browser.
