The water will fill until the float reaches a set point then the simulation will pause and display how much time it took to get there.

It displays the sim time and is affected by lag in a small way. The decimal amount makes a big difference so should be considered as the score. Over or under 5.00 for modern PCs. If you hit 6.00 you probably need an upgrade.

My score on my almost brand new Windows 7 emachines computer got 5.85 :blink:

. Of course, I was downloading something that'll take about 12 hours to get fully downloaded...dunno if that'd impact the performance of Algodoo much. (sarcasm, dur)

I'll try it again some other time when I'm not downloading anything. Nice test, by the way.

@The Linkage: You have almost the same computer specs as my old desktop.
My 8 year old desktop had:
528 MB RAM
Nvidia GeForce MX440 AGP8x
Windows XP SP3
ASUS P4P800 SE
Intel Pentium 4 @ 2.8 Ghz

So, I think my old computer would score worse than yours!!!

By the way, this is the most inaccurate test I have seen.
Because your score depends on how the water falls on the ball.
And that is a different each time you run the test.

In other words, this test sucks :tdown:

i think the specs are:
800Gb hardrive
4Gb RAM
2.8Ghz Quad core prosessor
But i've hardly used and of the hard drive space or the RAM

75 people have taken part in this test so fare and yes the test is not the same every time, thats why you should run it a few rimes to get the ~score

Also this is not just about the spec of your computer more about how well it rund Algodoo :tup:

I've got 5.99 (not 6!) in Algodoo v2.1.0 on HP Pavilion dv7 with Windows 7 x64 and following apps running:
- Skype and EasyXN game manager (or something like this)
- Gadu-Gadu with running OpenFM
- EyePro
- top_netinfo (needed for me to use Aero2 free internet)
- Avast! Antivirus 6
- Algobox

- and some other apps
