HELP! I can't open downloaded scenes.

Ok, I just downloaded the demo of Algodoo.

I've downloaded a few different scenes and phunlets but can't seem to get them to open....

I've tried everything that I could possibly think of, to no avail.


I have the Algodoo folder on my desktop and I download the phunlets into the scenes folding.

I have searched the forum for help but nothing really came up.

if you drag an scene on the algodoo icon.. what happens?
You propably placed the scenes in wrong folder..

I am pretty sure they are in the correct folder....

When I drag a scene onto the icon Algodoo opens but there is nothing there.
It works with the scenes that came with Alagodoo but not any that I download.


Which "made with" scenes should I be downloading?
I've only tried the made with algodoo ones.

Did you Put them in the Scenes folder in DOCUMENTS??

Ok.
I found hat folder.... There is only a _ONEXITSAVE.phz file in it though.

I put a scene that I downloaded into it and tried opening it through Algodoo but nothing shows up.
The loading screen shows but nothing after.

Hmm... strange... Try re-installing into program files instead?

I reinstalled.... Seems to be the same problem.

Tell me what you do from downloading through actually using the scene....

I just have no idea what to do.

Downloaded scenes should be placed in the Algodoo folder in My Documents. Also, have you tried double-clicking the file? If you installed it, I do believe that it should automatically open in Algodoo.

I double click on the file and it goes to Algodoo but I cannot seem anything other than the usual clouds....
At the top it says C:\Users\*******\Documents\Algodoo\scenes\[Scene name], But I don't see anything other than clouds.


Could you tell me which phunlets you know for a fact work, I'll try downloading that one.

Hmm. Try clicking "zoom to scene". Maybe that would work out, because as far as I know, every scene works.

In Algodoo, no.

I load it, see a quick loading screen, then nothing but clouds.....

Wait, I just realized, your using the demo right? That scene is way more then 100 objects.

Yeah, but I am pretty sure alot of the other scenes I've tried are less than 100.....

Omg, IDK...... This is kinda making me mad.

I do believe it doesn't let you have more than a 100 objects. That scene was 2000+. I'll go find a less than 100 scene.

Actually, you cannot save a scene with mroe than 100 objects, you can load as much as you want

Have you tested "run as" - Admin?

try uninstalling algodoo from the start menu and reinstalling.

if that fails atatch the log file from
"c:\\program files\algodoo"
