Mclaren P1 collab
COMPLETED! THANK YOU FOR JOINING THIS COLLAB!
Welcome to the Mclaren P1 collaboration thread!
Well, keep in mind that this is my first collaboration thread.
Our aim is to invent the ultimate machine powered by a V8 engine and electric motors. or as the title says, the Mclaren P1!
We are looking for a powerful V8 engine, a nice yet "eco-friendly" electric( c-engine or magnetic powered ) motors , a driver, and a wheelmaker. All combined together and make the legendary Mclaren P1 a.k.a "The Widowmaker"
Now we are looking for people who can help with:
[b]I hope that we could collaborate together smoothly so we can make this monster a reality(in Algodoo)

Re: Mclaren P1 collab
lol I could probably do most of everything. But I'll take the gearbox and engine, because I already have a V8 available that can be boosted like hell to 1250hp and I'm pretty good at gearboxes.

Thanks for taking part,pnvv!
Well, 903hp is enough since we want to make it as realistic as possible

Re: Mclaren P1 collab
OK, Good! Could I do the dummy too? You know how I do mechanical cars, with the acceleration and braking and usually gears too controlled by the driver's body?

Re: Mclaren P1 collab
Ok, good. You should put a little think that says like "completed" or something for the engine and gearbox.
Also, did you sleep at ALL last night? Google says it's 6:44 am right now in your part of the world

By the way, what's a C-Engine? Never heard of it, example maybe?

C - engine is somekind of a collision engine. Kilinich made that once and installed it into his baja.
Like this one(Kilinich's C-Engine):

I think it would be more fitting to use a magnet motor if ya ask me. I'm good at those too

Great idea!
Well, if you want to.. you can take part of the motor too!
...I'm just worried if when the magnetic motors are overpowered making the car flying away
If you're building a magnetic motor, make sure that the collision layers of the motors are different than collision layers used by the engine, gearbox and bodywork to prevent the car from screwing up

Re: Mclaren P1 collab
Just done doing some improvements to the bodywork!
Yes, you might know why there are some distortions on the image like weird looking Windows start logo, malformed looking grid GUI button and moar. It's because that I resized it with ms.Paint
y u do dis,ms.Paint
Oh and uuuh, I was checking out your engine and then I found this...
It's not even moving at all and it still packs a lot of energy there....
My reaction...

Re: Mclaren P1 collab
Forgot to say, don't make the body collision group A, or it will collide with the engine!

Thanks for the advice
Oh, and here's a suggestion for you ( it's in the picture ).
And thankfully that your engine and your gearbox miraculously fits in the bodywork so well that I don't need to resize it!
EDIT: DON'T USE THE "J" COLLISION LAYER TOO! I JUST REALIZED THAT THE GEARBOX RUNS IN J COLLISION LAYERDON'T use the "F" collision layer for the electric motor, I'll be using that layer for the bodywork!

Re: Mclaren P1 collab
It fits because I designed it to. Normally I mount the gearbox away from the engine, but I had no room, so I just attached the gearbox to the engine to save space
While I make the motors I might as well make the wheels too. I might not get done with them till later though because I have crap I need to do
About that weird energy thing, it's because of the upgrades i did. I just shoved Chuck Norris into the engine and that gave 2x performance

Re: Mclaren P1 collab
Speaking of that,I'll be in charge with the chassis.
Chassis is love,
Chassis is life.
Oh pnvv, please take note that only collision layer H and I are the only collision layers that can be used for the motors. I just realized that collision layer "J" is used for the gearbox

Re: Mclaren P1 collab
I usually assign layer j for gearboxes because I rarely ever use all of the remaining 9. That way I can be sure it won't collide with anything and get messed up
How about you post it with the engine and gearbox installed and then I'll build the wheels and motors and stuff around that?
