Well, Algodoo is having an epic fail right now guys.

I can't edit Algodoo files manually (ei unzipping, editing the .phn, and re zipping, then changing to .phz). Warning, exception thrown, scene.phn not found! As well as lots of other "invalid image file found in" errors. I'll upload the log too. What's wrong with Algodoo that you can't manually edit the files?

I don't know what's wrong with your files. I tried it and I could easily edit files. Doubleclick on it, change the .phn file, close it and that's it.
I could imagine that you have some problems because you didn't buy Algodoo, did you?

yeah maybe because it has Anti-hacking that wont let you edit any files.(except for registry)

Erm... I did purchase Algodoo.

I have never had this issue before, and am quite surprised it has cropped up. FYI I'm running Mac OS X Snow Leopard, but that doesn't seem to be relevant.

try to open it as a .phn without repacking it.

algodoo(as well as phun edition) have a check sum - which is why if you edit manually a .phz, algobox won't accept it(unless you resave it as a legit scene). it is possible to hax it - but you would need a supercomputer and a trial-and-error basis.

I purchased the full version, there is no limiting timer, and my huge scenes save just fine. I have tried again, and it still fails. It is telling me that my phz file contains files it shouldn't and that there aren't any of the right files. Is there any way someone can help me?

Any why are .phz files not allowed as attachments?! Come on guys... Seriously. I can't even f***ing upload it to the Algobox! "This file is not a valid phun file" WTF?!?!?!?!?! It is a .zip renamed to .phz, and contains only the original files from the .phz!

The phz you uploaded has a faulty structure. It should only contain a checksum, a png and a phn file. You have several folders in there as well, and the scene files in the wrong directory. When zipping, make sure you only zip the files mentioned and it should work.

I didn't get the same errors as you when I tried to load the file, was that a different file?

Yeah, I know... It's pretty strange. I even tried doing it with Phun Algodoo Edition 5.28, and it gave me the exact same error. It seems to not recognize that the files in my phz, while not created by Phun/Algodoo itself, are still valid files.

I have a temporary workaround, but it's really tedious and limiting. I create a new scene, modify the phn, open it, and then save it as a phz. Although, I guess I don't really have to do that. I can change the size of a box from the script menu, right? Although, even though you can do it all from the scripting menu, that makes it hard if you want to do things manually, because doing lots of mods from the script menu is very slow.

Erm... faulty structure? Am I seeing the same thing your are? All I have is a .zip archive called something.phz, and it contains three files, the phn, the checksums, and the png. Am I missing something?

Woah! Sorry about the triple post here, but I'm excited. I think the stuff was in a folder in the zip! I couldn't tell because my mac extracted the folder, and it normally extracts to a folder the name of the archive if there are multiple items. THANKS SO MUCH!

Glad you figured it out. Lesson to be learned, when editing phz-files, make sure you keep the file hierarchy the same in the phz-file before and after editing.
