2.0.2b15 Algobox scene saving

Postby tatt61880 » Sat May 26, 2012 3:04 am

When you downloaded Algobox scene via built-in browser, the scene will be saved into downloads folder, automatically.
However, when you downloaded scene via other browser, the scene won't be saved automatically.

Is this intended feature?
I hope that scenes will be saved automatically even when you downloaded the scenes via Firefox, IE, etc.

When you open a scene from another browser, as far as algodoo is concerned, you've double clicked on a .phz file that is already saved where you want it to be.

so, it isn't a feature or a bug.
I suppose that algodoo COULD offer to copy them over if it detects they are in a web-browsers downloads folder or the windows temp. folder.

if i dl a scene it shows to open it with algodoo scene package, maybe add some lines to that code so it saves it in de downloads folder?

They COULD use a small IF, and if the file is in the downloads folder ( (userfolder)/documents/downloads ) or temp data folder, they could be moved to the algodoo's downloads folder!

I would suggest scenes/downloads/imported for this.

Files which are uploaded to Algobox has algoboxID and their filenames are algoboxID_title (ex. 61501_AlgoboxGroupTest.phz). So, I thought it's possible to distinguish scenes in Algobox and scenes in local folder.

what if you're like me and save them to an entirely different download location? ( i.e. F:\downloads\internet\containment\ )
