creating and changing exact sizes
I have been trying to figure out how to create links of exact sizes. and I have been trying to change the size of a existing links to a different value without losing the axles
so as an example. I would like to create a 4 bar mechanism where the link lengths are:
10
15.5
20.1
2.25
Iater I would like to adjust the length of several of these links. The only 2 approaches I have found are snaping to grid, and using the scale command for changes. But niether really get me what I need.
is there another way to create and change to exact values?
thanks
Joe

Re: creating and changing exact sizes
while scaling you can hold CTRL, it will scale with steps, like 0.5 0.25 or 2 etc.
and with the grid on you can hold SHIFT to keep the sizes correct.
you could also try some scripting and then precicely spawning what you need

Scripts in console is ultimate tech to build anything.
Scene.addBox {pos := [x,y]; size := [x,y]; angle := a}
Scene.addBox {pos := [x,y]; size := [x,y]; angle := a}
