Heat Solution!
You know how when you make a cutting laser it slices off a bit of the object it touches? What if there was an option to turn the stuff that has been cut off into water? As if it melted it!
And if you're using a material (glass, rubber, wood) Algodoo could automatically set the viscosity and thickness of the 'water' so it it almost rubbery! And further cutting that 'water' would reduce the thickness/viscosity!
Also, it would be cool if the water was the same colour as the original shape, so support for multiple colours for water would need to be added.
And to add even further, maybe little red pens could rise up from the water for a second or two, to look like it's cooling off.

Re: Heat Solution!
Sounds like you could do all that now, except for the viscosity thing, but Im shure the rest could be done manually.

OnLaserCollide to water. Isn't that possible?

NO.... they need water scripting... hm... i dont think you can liquify onCollide...

actually, if going on a laser, its e.geom.liquify

Re: Heat Solution!
e.geom.liquify... small problem, when i liquify a circle.. only a SMALL ammount of water appears... VERY small.
If you have a question, have a dollar and call somebody that cares.
No really just PM me if you have a problem

Liquefying OnCollide:
1. Is Scripting. An actual physical way to do it would be nice.
2. Won't work. If you liquefy OnCollide the whole object turns to liquid, which would greatly increase lag. I was thinking just the part that touched the laser would get liquefied.

Wait, don't give up! Maybe you could have one lazer that cuts it, and another that liquifies right behind, it's crude, and only works one way (rotating), but i think it's a start

Sorry for bump, I got an idea...
We could make the laser cutter like LLamaman said and only when that piece is cut is when the other laser liquefies it.

2 first lasers cuts. second laser makes new regtangle collide with also other group. third laser (with other collission group)makes it go to water?
would that work?
or is it even possible?

It will get laggy, but In a few month that isn't my problem anymore.
