tudoreleuu: please don't give up! I have a beta 9 out now, and it includes a feature to automatically send me detailed crash information when it crashes! Please run it, and send it in, and please take time to add your name (tudoreleuu) to the problem description so that I can find it. You can find it at viewtopic.php?f=24&t=5108#p54175

Still wont start, report sent.

ETA: As I said earlier, if I install a different graphics card driver other than the most current it wont crash but will run so slow that it is unusable and also causes 5.28 to run too slow.

I have no idea what could be wrong, except for a bug in your driver. I've compiled a beta11 of 2.0.1 which has some more trace prints to logfile, which may help me:

Sadly, your logfile confirms my suspicion: for some reason, the first call to glDeleteTextures crashes Algodoo. This has to be due to a bug in your drivers, and so I fail to see how I can help you further, other than recommending a new graphics card. I'm sorry.

Or, of course, try other drivers. These where version 2.0.5696. That's very old, even for your card (which is by itself 9 years old). Have you tried 2.1?

No, because, as I said earlier, Ati Radeon X550 is one of the unsuported video cards that doesn't receive driver updates anymore. But, thanks, I'll look it up.

Edit: omfgwtfbbq I swiched to 10.2 driver (holy cow mine was old alright) and it works perfectly, thanks alot :D

I installed b11 and re-installed the latest driver again and b11 actually ran, and it ran at 100% even on the biggest scene I have made so far and I was stunned!!!!!

Then I went back and tested to see if phun 5.28 still ran at 100% and it did. Then I went back to run b11 again and it crashes every time just like before, I uninstalled and re-installed b11 and still no go, very frustrating!

It makes no sense, my card is even newer thantudoreleuu's and I am running the newest driver.

Go into the My Documents/Algodoo/ folder and delete the .cfg files there (config.cfg, config.autosave.cfg) as well as scenes/_AUTOSAVE.phn and scenes/_ONEXITSAVE.phz

Now try starting 2.0.1b

Could you please try with beta 13? For some reason I couldn't get the b12 crash report to work.
