[Algodoo RC2~RC5] Spring variables doesn't work!

Postby Thooto » Mon Oct 17, 2011 8:34 pm

Hello!

I wanted to make a spring engine (which has negative damping springs, etc.). I have to use the legacymode 1 for the springs, otherwise it crashes. But I'd like to set the strenght of the springs with a variable. I enter mine (ex : scene.my.xxx) and I play with it. No problem.

But here it comes : when I want to turn back the scene to pause (pressing "undo"), the variable disappears of the spring (it's still in the scene).

I think so this is due to the legacymode of the spring, because when it is legacymode 3, the variable doesn't bug.

So, please help! :)

no, it's not connected with legacyMode.
do you place it with {} brackets? save scene? no warinigs in console?
Dream of Algodoo as game development engine...

There are some warnings in the console, but I didn't read them.
Yes, I placed brackets. ;)

And that's strange, because it works fine with legacymode 2...

But I'm almost sure the problem comes from here, because as you said in my other post the legacymode are lied to the version of Algodoo. And, (if I remember well) Phun doesn't care variables. So, maybe legacymode1 is lied to Phun, and that's why you can't put variables on a legacymode 1 spring... But maybe I'm wrong. :D
