Yes, you will get updates for free, except for a major release as far as I know. Like if you buy algodoo 1, you can update it to 1.5, but for 2 you have to pay.
I like crashes alot!

Wrong. You do not have to pay for any updates at all.

Im sorry dare, but mr crash is correct. All updates for algodoo 1 are free, but they are planning to charge for major releases....

I will try and find where they said it, later.

You're kidding me. You're telling me that, after endless hours of beta testing their versions of Algodoo to make them the best they can be, having already bought it at the full price, they are going to make us pay all over again just for another update? That's an outrage.

from the FAQ:
Are future updates included?

The license itself is eternal. Maintenance releases and bug fixes for the base version you purchase are included for at least one year. Plug-ins offering substantially extended functionality may be released under commercial terms, and future major upgrades (aka Algodoo 2.0) will also be released under commercial terms, with an upgrade program.

Here is the actual question on the FAQ

hopefully, with the term "may be released under commercial terms", states that they may not charge for algodoo 2.0, or that the upgrade will, be alot cheaper than buying the full version...

i will redirect a few algoryx staff over to this topic, see if they can provide a better insight!

Perhaps they will do something like the discount to people active in the Phun forum thing...

Maybe, if you can prove that you are active in the Algodoo forum, they will give you a discount on Algodoo 2.0.
Or if you can prove you were already a beta tester for Algodoo 2.0.

Hmm..............................
Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.
I love my brain...

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.
