Take a look at the info box...there are two bugs founded here:
1) Reported some days ago, this is about the max rad/s of a wheel. Take a wheel, attach it to something with a hinge (or axel, whatever), then put inf motor torque and 1500 RPMs: the wheel will start getting crazy and probably it will also fly around.
2) I did not report this yet but I'll post it here anyway. This bug is about springs: in this scene when the engine reaches around 130 rad/s well, springs just jumps pistons and stuff away at over 2000 m/s and sometimes every part of the engine gets on a stasys mode, it happened with two engines I tried to make but now I really gave up on building them :problem: The strange thing here is that even if springs (which with negative damping GAVE, not GIVE because they are erased, GAVE energy to pistons) are erased the energy of the circle keeps on increasing with no reason :| And all the values are...well look at here !

I really like spring engines and how they work, when I see a scene with a spring engine I always have fun improving it  Once I built a 64 piston engine spinning at 750 rad/s, but with the new beta this is way impossible :(

The maximum safe rotational speed of Algodoo is about a quarter of a turn per time step, which translates to 25 rps = 1500 rpm ~= 157 rad/s. With more things attached to the wheel, this value is lower. To have quicker things stable, increase Sim.frequency.

Hmm ok, this is clear, but with older versions of algodoo something was different because things could spin at higher speeds, or am I wrong ?

In the scene above you can change the springs to legacyMode=2 and the engine will stop by itself at around 100 rad/s
