[1.9.8] Send into orbit bug
Simply the orbit of the object that I want to send in orbit in zero gravity is wrong. The magnetic object is a circle (the sun) and I want to send in otbit a planet, but when I click on send into orbit the planet "goes away" to the killer planes. This not happens everytime by the way and it happens (I think) with all the versions of algodoo...is there a solution ?

Re: Send into orbit bug
Press send into orbit and the object will fly away (It's not a planet, but it doesn't work even with this geom)

Re: Send into orbit bug
Ah - the objects are not attracting each other since they do not share a collision layer - but send-into-orbit misses this fact. I'll fix that in the next beta.

Re: Send into orbit bug
They do in fact collide with each other- if you don't send into orbit, it will fall into the blue thing.
Sure enough, this is a bug to be reported. And it's not because it's a polygon, either. A circle will fly away as well.
I think it has to do with very low attraction. Or maybe not...

Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.

Re: Send into orbit bug
Well I tried to send into orbit a circle and a square and it didn't work (I tried it because I thought the geom I placed in the scene was too complex)...by the way it works at like 85% of times, because in the scene I have there are planets in orbit and when I sent them into orbit well it worked. Well let's say the bug shows depending on the mood of the author

Re: [1.9.8] Send into orbit bug
Ah yes; I misunderstood the situtation slightly, but the cause is the same bug: instead of going into orbit around something that acctually attracted it (having the same collision layer), it tried to go into orbit around something that didn't attract it. Anyway, it's fixed.
