Fixed in v1.9.9b. Thanks :clap:

looks like few "demo" functions removed from config and scenes which is using it stops working:

Code: Select all
spawnBoxRow = (offset, n)=>{for(n, (x)=>{Scene.addBox({pos = offset + [x, 0]})})};
spawnRing = {Scene.addPolygon({surfaces = [makeRing(1, 48), makeRing(0.5, 48)]})};
makeRing = (r, n)=>{
    list = [];
    for(n, (i)=>{
        a = (2 * math.pi * i) / n;
        list = list ++ [r * [cos(a), sin(a)]]
    });
    list
};

Please get it back...

I've never met the scenes which use these functions.
These functions were removed at v1.9.5 (2011.06.1), as far as I know.

This is minor issue and keeping config simple will be better, in my humble opinion.

The only problem is that scenes that DO use these functions, will be broken, which needs to be avoided!.

As I wrote, there are not so much scenes which use these functions and "keeping config simple" is better than keeping minor function, at least, the function shouldn't be in [root], in my humble opinion.

I would keep those functions, just because they were there in previous versions, and because some people will come looking for them eventually. I really don't care how complex the config is, as long as it works properly. But then again, I'm not a dev.

It's not only useful functions but great example of thyme programming for beginners. I vote for keeping it. :thumbup:

Even though I've never used it, and I was already pretty well acquainted with Thyme when I found about it, I agree with Kilinich and TC42.

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.
