1.9.7 Showing waring for normal users.
I've created an example image:

There is some feature which is difficult to tell bug or not.
For example, liquify problems is not bug but normal users will think this is a bug.
So I suggest to show some kind of messages to users for exceptional (unexpected) behavior.

Hi, Algodoo lovers. Have you read next topic? Featured scenes suggestions
To translators: English.cfg changelog will be useful (even for me).

Also, would be nice if users could change the warn limit?

Liquify problems above is just an example, so it's a bit off topic. It is already possible to change the limit by changing "App.maxSPHSpawn", btw.

@Tatt, do you mean to warn if user trys to liquify an object that make too much water, or warn if overall particle number hits a certain number?
I kinda suggest warning for both.
Also, for the warning, if it appears in a window, it should have a few options:
Okay
ignore (once)
ignore (session)
ignore (permermantly)

Yes, also congrats on suddenly becoming an admin. More moderation = less spam, especially with an active mod/admin.
But anyway, pardon my ASCII art, I suggest the warning for too much water spawned at once or too much water in the scene should look like this:
Okay would not spawn the water,
Ignore Once would close the warning and spawn the water, but next time would show the warning again,
Ignore for Session would turn the warning switch- the one the above buttons left on-off, but would not save it in config.cfg,
Ignore Permanently would save the off position of the switch in config.cfg,
and Change Settings would teleport you to the appropriate tab in Options, where you can set which of three states you want the warning to be (on, off for session, off permanently) via radio buttons, and set the threshold with a slider. There would be options for spawning too much water at once, having too much water in the scene, too much lag, or anything else you guys decide to implement.
I would also suggest reinstating Expandables. This way, with an expandable menu for each warning, you would be able to see the options for the warnings you want to see. Pressing Change Settings on the actual warning dialog box would expand the appropriate expandable and contract the rest. There should also be a button at the top of the Warnings tab for Expand/Contract All.
Also, is it possible to create your own custom menus with Scene.addWidget? If so, how?

- Code: Select all

---------------------------------------------
[Okay, don't liquify]
[Ignore Once]
[Ignore for Session]

Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.

Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.

Well, menu would proberbly look abit cluttered, but i suppose algodoos devs. Should be able to come up with a less cluttered design.
Also, its not possible to create custom menus with scene.addwidgets. kilinch has an alternative though (see his algobox)
Also, water is only an example!

Re: 1.9.7 Showing waring for normal users.
You're welcome.
Which menu? The warning or the Options tab? The warning, well, not much I can thing of there, the options tab, I already explained that- expandables.
Then how does Tatt create all those example menu images? Photoshop? And I've used Kilinich's thing, or tried to. It takes forever to code, and there's no easily accessible checkboxes or radio buttons. I shall suggest my ideas on this the Algobox page for that scene.
I know that.
