[1.8.5] Non-connected Spring Spawn

[scene]55985[/scene]
Use the cut tool, draw a line from inside the circle to the background around it. It will spawn a spring that is not connected to anything :wtf:

And yes, this is part of my attempt to script a shoot tool :geek:

Nope, doesn't work. 1.8 spring code doesn't spawn a spring in 1.9, and your geomIDs are being constantly scrambled (whenever you hit Undo), so it just doesn't work.

But, if it is possible to make it work as you think it should, and it glitches out like that, maybe it goes indeed do weird things.

Also, I attempted and failed to make your version work.

Also, maybe you could try to use a two-click system- click once inside the circle to select it, click again to shoot.

Hmm. I can't get spring spawning to work at all. Oh well...
Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.
I love my brain...

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.

I tried it without geomIDs, and it still spawned a spring at the two positions, but connected to the background at both ends. It should either not create a spring, or attach the spring to whatever geom it is on top of.
