Tesla Death Ray
Well, most of you may know this weapon as the dream of Nikola Tesla, it was not designed to be a weapon but a mechanism to stop any kind of war between nations.
So here is my algoodo version of it:
{This scene was made with algodoo 1.9.7, if you are having any problems with it please report me}
Hope you like it, have fun playing with the beam and try creating your own targets
Have a nice day !

Gears are my favorite mechanism. Why do you think I have this username ?

Re: Tesla Death Ray
Just great and works fine in 1.8.5
Could you do me a favor and try this scene in the new beta:

I'm reluctant to download the beta yet

Re: Tesla Death Ray
Well
. At first thank you for the compliments.
Now about your scene, it seems to be a great scene, but it does not works on the new beta, I am so sad about this this engine you made seems so well done. I gave it 10/10.
Strangely your scene lags my computer and my computer is very good, it should run your scene with no problem
...
I recommend you to download the new beta. I did not liked the 1.9.5 so much but this new one seems to be a bit better
PS: I always wanted make a radial engine like this one, what is the secret to arranging the pistons ?

Re: Tesla Death Ray
Thank you for testing it for me
I was afraid of that
this is a fairly complex scene but it runs
100% on my computer just barely. There are a few parts that somewhat rely on the old hinge behavior to prevent a solid collision while waiting for the sim to catch up
I'm not sure if I can explane why the cylinders in a radial are arrainged the way they are easily but there
are always an odd # of cylinders in each bank and there is a master rod that all the other rods are hooked to
at the crank end of the master rod, these are refered to as articulating rods.
The position that the articulating rods are attached to the master is not even and is based on where the crank pin is at top center for each cylinder, it gets a bit complex
I'm sure I can answer any single question you may have but trying to explane the whole thing is beond my
writing abilitys
