To be honest i don't care about the post count, i think these forums would be better off without it, people know who posts a lot and it shouldn't be treated like a level or xp. Post cont should be taken away, or just have titles related to the post count, but don't show the post count.

i think its the post count-related titles that make people think like that, and notice that they arent here :)

I don't like this suggestion. It's too complicated.

It looks far from complicated.

I don't like you. You are too simple minded.

Say that to the suggestions you find in the suggestion forums.
I'm serious, this is so much simpler than asking for stuff like a triangle tool or a continuous laser cutter

I just have to say, I posted a contest that isn't noobish.
low post count != noob
Therefore I don't support

0 post count = noob
over 90 percent of the time.
If you've seen the original contest forum, VERY RARELY you find someone making a good contest on his first post. Let's just get the person to make a meaningful post first, then make a good contest. It's less trouble than everyone shifting through a contest forum overflowing with bad contests.

what about some system that judges you about how long you have been registered and how active you have been that time?

'cus there is a difference about people who posts a lot (ex chronos or rhett97, no offence :) ) and people like me, browsing forum often, but doesn't post everywhere. (and I KNOW that lately i haven't been so very very active browsing but i am often)

(this was a little loose talk, don't take it all too seriously :) )

I believe the moderators can control spam. I would consider your post as spam as it is a very, very, very, very, very, very stupid post.

I think a contest should have to be voted on by the upper tiers of community (you know what im talking about).
so there would be not much more spam aswell.

Everyone wins(exept the first post contester, but he/she/it doesnt count)

Wouldn't that take long? Just at least one mod could be fine. :\

Rich you mean that one of our beloved mods would need to sit by the screen, deciding what contest we get through?
Thats generally what they do now [except, we benefit now!], when a crappy contest comes, it gets locked.
[The benefit for us is that we get more posts by saying its crap ;) ]

I meant before the contest gets posted, a mod has to approve it.
