[1.8.5] -inf zDepth lost on copy/paste

If you have problems installing or running Algodoo, have found a bug or need in-game help - this is it!

[1.8.5] -inf zDepth lost on copy/paste

Postby TC42 » Tue May 24, 2011 11:52 pm

Create a circle by typing scene.addCircle({zdepth:=-inf}) into the console. Copy it using Ctrl + C. Paste it again using Ctrl +V. Oh noes, both circles have lost their -inf zdepth!

Does anyone know how to get around this (I know it's probably already been reported)?

not a bug.
zdepth is not even readable and changed dynamically so just get used to that.

Actually, I think this is a bug. Copy-pasting a circle should create an exactly identical circle, and not change any properties (hidden or not) of the original. This bug does just that.
Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.

If I'm recalling correctly, zdepth doesn't change when you clone, so shouldn't it be preserved when you copy/paste?
The only reason I'm asking is that I want to be able to copy/paste the contents of a scene into Word, and do a search/replace to the effect of setting all objects' zdepth to -inf.
