President of forums?

I have an idea but if you don't like it don't get angry because its just an idea! We should have an elction for the "President" of the forum. Have them serve for a certain amount of time and then either get relected or have someone else take there place. Then there could be political parties like Algodoo party, Phun party,scene.my party. I don't know but those are just examples. But tell me if you like this idea and improve on it but don't get angry if you don't like it because thats what alot of people in these forums have been doing. But I could see problems with this because it could cause rivalries between forum members and cause flame wars. But tell me what you think about this idea!

No, you can't... the titles that Rich and Kilinich have were given to the most distinguished users of 2010 (I think) and I'm pretty sure that that was via admin/mod.

Crappy animated signatures are bad enough, what makes you think they would trust us with our user-titles? Hell, somebody could put "moderator" or "admin" in their's. If this "President of the Forums" thing even gets to take off(probability: 0.0000001%) I'm pretty sure a moderator, admin, or someone with power would be needed to handle it.

And I would think the President would basically be a mod that only gets to serve for a certain period of time.
Whatever powers a mod might have.

And I think that the only people with power are mods, admins, and the President himself.

Or maybe the President would be more of a symbolic title- maybe just able to do a few simple things, like edit people's user titles, with that person's permission, of course.

But seriously. How did you get three user titles?
Back on topic: I think that (a)If you try to proclaim yourself President, you are disqualified, and (b)There should be a democratic election. That is, some mod/admin person will create a topic with a poll at the top, and everyone gets one vote for who they think should get it, so long as they are on the list.

Then again, how long would one term last? A month? Two weeks?
