[Scenes] non-existent files
Hi all!
Today someone ask me if i can upload one of my scenes for him.
So i said OK, but i can't found scenes in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Algodoo Phun Edition\scenes".
(In phun when i load a scene with "File -> Load scene", a board appears with "C:\Program Files (x86)\Algodoo Phun Edition\scenes" on the top of that board. But when i want to select a file in that "place" they are just the default scenes, the "phunlets".
EDIT: The problem is resolved:
C:\Users\"name of your session"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files)\Algodoo Phun Edition\scenes
Thank you Dare
Can you help me?
I'm french and I'm really sorry for my bad english speaking .

Your scenes are now located in the My Documents folder.

Re: [Scenes] non-existent files
I am also using Windows 7.
You could also click on the Show Scene Folder button: OH WAIT, I don't know if that button even exists in Phun

I'm using Phun, and there is no button like that
Thank you very much Dare, it's a simple idea but i'm an idiot
Thanks to you a have found all of my scenes!
They are in the folder C:\Users\"name of your session"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files)\Algodoo Phun Edition\scenes
After some searches on the web, i've discover they are many people who have the same problem as me. May be you should mention it in "Known issues and TODO" or something like that. It's free and it help!
Thank you all, and have a lot of Phun. Or a lot of Algodoo...

I would recommend uninstalling Phun and using the .zip version. Place it somewhere like the desktop or your documents folder. The scenes will always save in that folder.
Just be sure to backup your scenes first.

Or simply install it to a USB drive, like I did.

Why go to the trouble of installing it to a USB drive when you could use the .zip version?

1. What .zip version?
2. The install wizard should ask you where you want to install to anyway. The default should be in Program Files.
3. If you install to a USB drive, you can take Phun wherever you want.

http://www.algodoo.com/download/Phun_be ... _win32.zip The zip version of Phun. It's right below the installer link.
It would be simpler to move it to a USB than say, having to install it there.

Re: [Scenes] non-existent files
I still say why bother with the .zip.
The Install wizard should ask you where you want to install to, so just find the USB drive (usually E: or G: or something, but on my laptop, it's B:) and install it there.
Now how easy was that?

It seems to me that this all depends on personal preference. But still, the .zip version requires fewer clicks and it doesn't leave a trace on the computer.

And it doesn't have the problem on Vista with saving in Program Files.

Personal preference it is.
And I don't have Vista, so that's not a problem. (Please say it's fixed in 7, so I don't have a good reason to yell at Microsoft.)
