Things are geting worse..

I havent had as much time for algodoo as i would have liked lately but yesterday i got me the newest version and got to building stuff again. Out of curiosity and slight self obsession i loaded up some of my old projects to see how they cope with the new version and well epic disaster... everything that used to be on the limit of realtime for my pc (still the same comp) now lags like hell, geometry subjected to opposite pressures twitch and jerk awkwardly, every script operated by lasers has an unacceptable failiure rate due to script simply not triggering, every time i load a phunlet with camera-follow object the object gets placed in a seemingly random place and the camera swung far far away so usually i cant even find the thing i imported.. or where i was, the memory leak with spawned-destroyed objects has gotten worse and slows algodoo to a crawl even faster. Basically everything that matter to me in this program has gotten worse, is there any particular reason or explanation for this kind of development?

Yep, that sux and I've report benchmark result many times.
It's because Algodoo now focused on education, not on gamers.
So they improve interface, fonts, visualization and so on.

and please change your avatar...
Dream of Algodoo as game development engine...

Do you really blame them? It's a physics simulator. Schools is where the most stable cash flow is at.

Still. They shouldn't sacrifice quality for appearance. And they could just get users to make skins that improve the GUI.

There's a reason why the Powder Game is awesome, and it's definitely not the GUI.
