Bottle bomb
My most complicated, not-so-amazing script in this scene
oh well, here's the little scene
It's based on those bombs made out of a bottle, drain cleaner liquid and foil. The cleaner melts the foil and produces gas, and the pressure goes so high that the bottle explodes with huge boom. I'm pretty you knew that already

Re: Bottle bomb
Huh, I've never heard of using aluminum foil and drain cleaner, I've always done it with dried ice. Now I have to try this out. Thanks.

I've never done it fith dried ice XD
But warning: Don't get that draincleaner in your eyes!
It makes a huge BOOM, in real, too

Re: Bottle bomb
Someone should make a real-life hydrogen bomb. That is,
Interesting scene, by the way. Too bad it does not really knock down the tower with any reliability whatsoever...
- Code: Select all
Hydrogen gas + Oxygen gas --> Water
- Code: Select all
Deuterium + Tritium --> Helium-5;
Helium-5 --> Helium-4 + a Neutron
- To separate water into Hydrogen and Oxygen:
- Gather up as many 1.5 volt batteries as you can find. You may tear up an Energizer 9-volt if you wish. [see the respective Kipkay hack on YouTube, but AAAA's don't provide much current]
- Split each type of battery into two equal parts- put half of the D's in one pile, the other half in another pile.
- Group these piles together into two piles with about equal current- that is, take one pile of D's, one pile of C's, one pile of AA's, etc. and put those piles into the same pile.
- Connect each pile in parallel- connect all the +'s together and all the -'s together.
- You should now have two big 1.5 volt batteries with about the same current. And a lot of it.
- Connect these in series- connect the + of one to the - of the other.
- This results in a 3 volt battery with a lot of current. You want at least 2 volts, but as much current as possible.
- Connect a long piece of uninsulated wire to each pole of the big battery.
- Submerge each wire into opposite ends of a tank of water. You should see little bubbles forming on each wire.
- If not, you need more current. See below.
- If you do see bubbles, try to capture the ones coming off the positive wire. These are hydrogen gas.
- If you are sure your wiring is good, and your batteries are good, you need MORE CURRENT.
- Borrow a car battery. If that does not work...
- Use a transformer to step your wall outlet down to 2 volts and then construct a bridge rectifier with four diodes.
- Use Google. I do not want to waste any more time on this subject right now. Don't bother with a capacitor.

Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.

SomeoneElse: Wow, that's interesting idea! I might try it.
Other interesting things to do with high current source:
-plugging in a pencil graphite and watching it glows because of super high temperature. Graphite is very temperature resistant and won't melt.
-welding things together. 2-3 9 volt batteries in parallel is enough to weld 2 razor blades.

Did you know what was lurking in you faucet?
Also, I might just get an bunch of 9 volts and weld myself a sword out of razor blades

Re: Bottle bomb
If you plug a pencil into a car battery for too long, it will [not so]SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST! The current heats the graphite, which ignites the wood. Handy trick if you go car-camping and forget a lighter.
And for water --> hydrogen + oxygen, you really only need two volts, but as much current as possible. Thus, you would want (if your wall sockets provide 110 volts) a transformer with 110 turns on the input side and 2 on the output.

The output then gets fed into a bridge rectifier. Use four heavy-duty diodes.

Note: These came straight out of Google Images.
