No, you're going to let this topic die in peace before I get an admin.

Re: Displacement Challenge
Some time ago, I solved these challenges in very quick succession.
I don't see why so many people object to rebooting this or any topic that was this popular. I think that any topic that nearly fills two pages of posts deserves to be bumped from time to time. Though, I admit, I was kind of subconsciously waiting for somebody to bump this so I could post my entries. I never would have bumped it myself, though.
Here's my question: I you all want this topic to die, why do you post to voice your opinions?
As it says in some of the descriptions, I owe big credit to RaRaMalum, whose strategy allowed me to complete these challenges with minimal tweaking.
Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.

Ahem.
Well...
For one thing, I had never seen that topic,
I never go to the living room anyway,
There seem to be gazillions of other websites where the living room could take place,
That topic was doomed from the second post,
That topic should have triggered some alarm in the admin department,
My rule about bumping popular topics should not apply to the living room,
Topics in the living room should be reviewed by an admin before they let anyone bump after the topic has not been bumped for a month,
Heck, an admin should review the post before they let anyone do anything,
Admins should use the "Lock Topic" button more judiciously in the living room,
The living room probably does not need to exist in the first place,
I have better things to do than come up with points on a really long list to counter one word,
Your comment was mostly off-topic anyway,
So is this,
I am bored,
That topic deserved to be locked long ago,
I want you to find an exception to my bump rule outside of the living room,
I can't think of anything else,
And that's it.
Happy now?
But really, this topic- the one you are looking at right now- is one of those that deserved to be bumped.
And I am not sure I want to know what Paradigm's reaction to these last two posts would be.

Not to mention almost all of the suggestions section and every single AHOX topic.
Also, all that talk about admins? It would help if any were ever on/in the living room.

None of those last six came anywhere near one page, much less two.
So far, your only point is that topic in the living room and the absence of admins there.
I just got a great idea! Take the silicon fist out of my school-issued laptop (so I can access the Powder Game and the Wikipedia home page) and put into the living room! That way, I'm happy, as well as anyone else who looks at the living room!
Please note that I do not want to be rivals of anyone here.
But this is seriously waaaay off-topic. If it were up to me, we should just leave this debate alone and let this contest/challenge remain a contest/challenge.

The problem, someone else, is thh it was a year old. That is what Chronos is mad about. Stop posting here, and he will forgive you.

Re: Displacement Challenge
I swear, if there is one more bump to this topic... did you even read the posts before your post? The part where Chronos said
Need I say more...?
Maybe.
Sorry if I was to hard on you, but still, it's annoying when people bump topics that should have died months ago.

Re: Displacement Challenge
Here are my solution to challenge 1 and 5.
Challenge 1:
http://www.algodoo.com/algobox/details.php?id=53363
Challenge 5:
http://www.algodoo.com/algobox/details.php?id=53364
The challenge 1 scene should work almost immediately while the 5th puzzle may get stuck some times. Please try it out a couple of times if it doesn't work

Re: Displacement Challenge
I second that. This has gone on too long. However, someone could make a new one and make it Displacement Challenge 2, if people really want to do this. Why is it the mostbumped topic in history?

Re: Displacement Challenge
It's the most bumped topic in history because:
A. It's just awesome that way.
B. Nobody's done a remake of it. Yet.
But seriously. What's the problem with these bumps anyway? And Chronos, I refuse to get into an argument with you again.

I think the Tower of Hanoi Challenge comes pretty close, no?
The problem with all the bumps is that no-one is scoring the entries, and most of the good solutions are already taken, so therefore they are nearly useless. I'm fine with people solving it, and I'm even okay with them posting it on the algobox, but they shouldn't post it here. [/rant]

Re: Displacement Challenge
Hmm. Tower of Hanoi does indeed come pretty close. Good point. I had not thought of that.
Now, I actually get what you mean with nobody scoring it. And that gives me an idea.
Any Volunteers?
Maybe?

Re: Displacement Challenge
If people want me to do it, I will make a Displacement Challenge 2. New levels and such. I will do this if 5 people say yes.
