Making a Laser Push an Object!?!?
Is there any way that you can make a laser push an object, i.e. onLaserHit{e.geom.velocity = 50} or something!?!?

I don't believe that you can change velocity onLaserHit just yet, although you can always create a polygon on collide to push off of the shape.

- Code: Select all
scene.addCircle({pos :=e.pos; killer := true; radius := 0.125})
This is what Fujitsu meant. Make sure that the object it hits is immortal.

I thought it would be something like this:
or is that not possible in Algodoo?
- Code: Select all
onLaserHit: (e)=>{e.geom.vel=velocity here}
or is that not possible in Algodoo?
Please excuse my posts. I am extremely stupid.

I am sorry to say cdh that it is impossible. I have tried. There needs to be variables for size, radius and velocity.

@standardtoaster: You don't have to make the circle a killer.
@cdh473: No... I don't think it is...
Dangit, I was hoping to make a rocket and/or gun using a laser doing this. Looks like my hopes have just been crushed.

You don't have to make them killer if you love lag. ;D

Yes, actually. Very useful when trying to make a low lag bomb... Well, sorta...

Re: Making a Laser Push an Object!?!?
nope. a laser pusher which doesn't work well when pushing in speeds above 120 m/s

basically a spawn gun.
