Build-a-Thon Tournament 1
Hi guys! I'm new to the forums so lets start off with a Build-a-thon ! This B.A.T subject is Hot air Baloons!
Here are the rules:
1. the hot air baloon can NOT be scripted
2. The baloon has to travle to the red line
3. The baloon could not be bigger than the black box.
4. No stealing ideas
5. No taking baloons off the algobox
6. Have Phun building it!
Please send all submissions to the scene below as a reply. The scene is also a template.

Any more building limitations(collisions, slider limits etc.)?
Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Something terrible has happened.

I'm going to use a really low density, and if anyone else does it you're stealing my idea.....
We really need a minimum posts limit for starting new threads in the "Contests" area.

Phundamentalists, come to the dark side.

I'm building a hot air balloon, and everyone else is stealing my idea...
But why no scripting?

Won't work. Tried it. You'd need an unrealisticly massive amount of low density objects to lift a small, 1kg object.

A hot air balloon, not scripted? Wow, you really are new. I would even go as far as to say fresh off the freakin' boat.

No, we don't. We need a minimum time that you have to be on the forums (such as one month). A minimum post count would make them spam.

Yeah it's pretty much impossible without thyme. If you want I can show you my solution that uses thyme.

Do you realise how stupid that is?
That is like a child telling the whole world not to drive cars, simply because he/she can't.
Algodoo runs on thyme. Don't take that away from us.

You must be stupid, thinking that just because you're twelve, we aren't allowed to treat you like an adult. Welcome to the internet. Grow up or get off.

Re: Build-a-Thon Tournament 1
First-post contests aren't always bad. At least not always controversial super-fails like this one.
My first post, that Lock and Robot Contest, was a complete and utter fail, but at least it did not erupt into an argument.
And I did check to make sure it was new. There were a couple lock contests on Phunland, but not on Algodoo.
And this script-less hot air balloon was seemingly modeled after a contest that was so recent that Dare hasn't even bothered to take it off his sig yet.
@ Under Ground: Yes. Which is what I [mostly] did.

Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.
I love my brain...
ARE YA HAPPY NOW?????

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.

Some first post contests are good, some are yelled at by Chronos, and some are just bad. This one falls into the "yelled at by Chronos" category.
I've a mind to go bump that contest now...My first post, that Lock and Robot Contest, was a complete and utter fail, but at least it did not erupt into an argument.
Bully for youAnd I did check to make sure it was new. There were a couple lock contests on Phunland, but not on Algodoo.
Vas is das? It was never in his sig, was it?And thiswas seemingly modeled after a contest that was so recent that Dare hasn't even bothered to take it off his sig yet.script-less hot air balloon
Also, did I win yet, Dare?
I did that for ages, even before joining. That's why I didn't write very many noob-posts...@ Under Ground: Yes. Which is what I [mostly] did.
Now that there's scripting, I might submit something; I just recently made a collision-based propulsion phunlet, and I want to test it out on something...

I'll just strap on an air friction engine. It's 100% within the rules so why not do it?

Uhh ... what? BTW, that contest was the best this forum has seen in a long time. TC42 probably won.

Since forever.
Dude, get over it. If your annoyed because people are trolling on you, you can get off the Internet and I promise you not a single person will care.
And you could be some 70 year old paedophile and be calling urself 12. The point is, no one cares if you are getting picked on. Well not in the living room anyway.
