Hinge Actions/Options

Here are two problems/inconveniences I've had with hinges:
1. Getting an object, with something in front or behind it, to hinge to the background.
2. Having to hinge multiple objects together at the same location.
How we can fix them: Hinge actions/options
1. Hinge to background
2. Hinge all underlying objects together
3. Hinge all underlying objects to background
-- And anything else you guys can think of, let me know what you guys think.

Hinging all underlying objects to background can be a nail, but i like the idea

yep a nail would make that all once again more complex.
