rube goldberg cannon contest [9/19/2010]
Arm your cannons!
And be ready to fire them! This contest is all about cannons, rube goldberg style cannons. There are no size restrictions for your cannon, and no distance limitations either.
Rules:
The cannon projectile must go towards the right.
The cannon projectile must be a sphere.
The cannon projectile must have default friction.
You may not use glitches.
You may not use attraction.
You may not attach any springs, fixates, or hinges to the projectile.
You may not use thyme's, or scripting.
You may not set extreme slider values (Values over a sliders limit)
You may not turn off the gravity
You may not turn off the air friction
You may not use lasers
You may not use stacked objects
Water power is not allowed
Zero friction is not allowed. The minimum Friction is 0.100
Rules are subject to change. Scenes will be protected from disqualification if changes occur, but will encounter a small score penalty (maximum 50 points) .
Judging :
Points are awarded for the following:
Complexity (100 points total): The more parts the better
Distance (10 points total): The cannon should actually fire
Color scheme (20 points total): The colors should have a pattern
Minimum number of boxes reached (15 points total): Are there more than 5 boxes?
Minimum number of spheres reached (15 points total):Are there more than 5 spheres?
Creativity (30 points total):How clever the scene is.
Points are removed for the following
Number of restarts (25 points total): The number of times (averaged) for scene restarts for proper cannon firing.
redundancy (25 points total): If the scene is all dominoes, points are subtracted.
Due date:
The Contest will end
