Sketch tool - do you use it?

Postby Kilinich » Fri Nov 05, 2010 11:24 am

Sketch tool if fancy for presentations but completely useless in real scene creation, agree with that?

I find it pretty useful. Quicker than switching once you get the gestures down.

Seriously, Kilinich, quit trying to make Algodoo seem like it sucks now.

What has happend to you seriously? Does the tool come in the way of you when it comes to creating scenes? Then why do you start a topic like this, doesn't contributate to anything, plus, people use it. I find it very useful. I'm glad they implemented it again. It's so much faster using the sketch to using hotkeys or change with the mouse.

Actually I think this topic erm... "contributates" quite a bit. For one, it's revealed that most people who voted on this topic do not use the sketch tool. If just you and Combot use the sketch tool, then I would think there's little practical reason to keep it.

Furthermore, Kilinich didn't imply that he wants to get rid of the sketch tool. He just wanted some opinions on it. That's quantitative data which is much more convincing than, "It's so much faster using the sketch to using hotkeys or change with the mouse", an opinion that is highly debatable.

Why would they get rid of it? They just don't have to update it anymore. If some people still use it, they can keep it in. It's easier than removing it, since all they have to do is ignore the code. I love the sketch tool and it loves me, and no one can take that awaaaaaay~

You're just arguing with yourself now. I never said that I think they should get rid of it.

I interpreted that as, "They have a reason to get rid of it."

That doesn't explain how this could contributate to the developement of Algodoo

Me and "who?". Actually it's me +4 others. Even if a very small amount of "Algodooers" were using it, there's no win-win.

The only time I used it was when I tested some of its features.
Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Something terrible has happened.
