Scene Saving Problem

Postby FruitMonger » Fri Sep 24, 2010 12:07 am

Okay, so it's not the actual saving that's the problem, it's that I can't make my scenes go to the right place. I have an Algodoo folder for phun and Algodoo and Algodoo related stuff, And in there is the folder that holds all of my Algodoo stuff When I save a scene, and I open that folder, the scene isn't in there. So I looked around some, and I figured out that there's another folder for Algodoo in the Documents folder. When I save a scene, it goes in there, and then when I want to upload a scene I go to the phun-and-Algodoo-holding-stuff-folder, cause I got used to doing that, and then I think "Where the heck is my scene? Oh, right, it's in hat other stupid folder." And then I have to go there, and it's just too much trouble for uploading a scene. So I'd like to know if anybody has had this same problem, and how to fix the problem. I dunno if this matters, but I have Windows 7. Just in case that makes a difference...

Well, that's about it, so thanks in advance for the help!

It seems to be a normal behavior.
Changelog(v1.6.0) wrote:* Everything in Algodoo is now saved to the user home directory (e.g. My Documents/Algodoo on Windows). Nothing is ever written to the installation folder.

How about making a shortcut-link for in your "phun-and-Algodoo-holding-stuff-folder"?

it is like that because windows vista and windows 7 don't like applications writing to there own programs folder (which i think is stupid) and no-one will buy the game if they have

maybe in a future version of algodoo, they should add a setting to change the location of the algodoo data folder.
