A CMD?

Re: A CMD?
No. It is not programmable(as far as new commands), and it is not self-contained at all.

Re: A CMD?
I was working on the command system for a why in the PCP collab but it got TOO complicated so I stopped working on it. The system was so you could make/edit variables.
e.g.
type into command interface: scene.my.newvariable = 0
how ever i could only get it to work as a calculator and floppy reader at the best so I didn't upload it because it was already on the computer.

What about a most basic prompt:
One that does no more than assign a variable to a user input string:
User types, "open" then presses Enter, and it is sent to a scene.my variable. All being displayed in a box of course, with no extras.

I'm still figuring out a way to make my laser computer programmable without too many lines of thyme. You need to understand how the very basic components of a computer work to come up to this stage.

I do. In fact, if you wish to help me make a full blown directory based command prompt, I posted in the collab forum. Mainly I need to know everything that people want in the prompt. It definately isn't light on thyme though...

I don't understand. You're doing a lot of scripting to make a very basic thing. It's like making a dune buggy out of parts from a Honda car. Is there any way to use a small enough amount of scripting such that it wouldn't defeat the purpose of a console?

Yes. The main code is less than ten lines. With mainly variables after that.
