Hotkey for "Select alike"

As you know, CTRL+A selects everything in the scene.
Would it be possible to add something so that lets say, you press Shift+Ctrl+A it selects everything that's the same as the currently selected Geom, so exactly the same as the "Select alike" Button?

I just think it would be handy at points, and make the workflow of making thinks a bit more smooth

I use the "select alike" key way too much . Hotkeys make everything flow better support.

Support. Not for "Select all of same type", but for "select alike".
Shift + Ctrl + A will be good for "select alike".

I'm glad that Tatt supports it.

As to Mysteries and Ridegs reply, i agree. I use it very often (I make guns a fair chunk of the time, so i use this option for the bullets. How much time would it've saved if i could just press a key-combination instead of right click > Scrolling up to selection > Scrolling down a bit to "Select alike".

You can use "select alike" for selecting them before grouping them.

Support +1 I also want to be able to name groups, like if you make a car, you can group and name the body of the car, and group and name the engine and so forth. A little off-topic, but it would be useful.

So what would the point of giving said group the name "Car". Where would it show the name, and what would it help with?

I think it would be nice if this was shown on top, so instead of "color menu for 187 objects" it says "color menu for Car". This would be a bit more clear with complex scenes.
