A noob has a suggestion: The reality switch!

If you are running an simulation, and want it to be realistic, there would be a "reality" check-box in the options menu that would pop up a warning if you did something impossible. For example: Density=+inf, friction=0, restitution=1.5. This would especially helpful for educational purposes.
Let me know what you guys think.

Could be usefull in education. But with your way it should be a button, not a checkbox. If it would be a checkbox there need to come a limit for the variables, so you can't make the restitution higher then 0.8 for example.

I'm not saying there should be a limit, but just a window that pops up and says:

Hey, that's impossible! Continue?
|Yes| |No|

It could be easily disabled in the options menu.

But I do...

It should be better if you clicked a button and it shows a warning:
You did something impossible, return values to possible?
|Yes| |No|

Should be a button to get the warning, and a checkbox that sets a limit.

Perhaps this could work for educational purposes. However, some of the impossible things can be spotted easily with common sense.

I don't really like it, i just see it becoming annoying and not even remotely useful.

If something like this will come I would prefer the limiter checkbox

Well I suppose it won't do any harm as long as there is a toggle on/off button / checkbox.

That's what I'm saying. I think it would be better if a warning popped up as you're doing it, not periodically when you press a reality-check button, because in the event that some thing is wrong, you'll have to fix everything after that point.

A warning would only become anoying, limiters would be the best I think.
