Live Monitoring Window To Ease Up Collabs
I don't know if this sound stupid to you guy but I'd like to hear your opinion.
I'm suggesting a scalable window that can monitor your co-worker to ease up collabs and not have to send pictures and chat over messenger i.e. Ofcourse it should have an on/off switch so you can control when your mate should see what you're doing. This could enable speed lessons from the other side of the globe.
Collabs would be more easy, picture you want to make a airplane together. One of you deal with the mechanics and the other with thyme. You would be able to show your co-worker what you've done, compare each system with the other one's, explain over messenger and eventually be able to provide the finished work. That maybe would take weeks without this speed-showing system could take maybe two days.
I think this would engage more people to work together on projects and learn how to work together, as Algodoo is an educational program.
What's your opinion. Please discuss advantages and disadvantages (positive and negative sides)

Previously in collab's i have worked in we have used Skype to share screens and voice chat for problem solving. It's a good idea but would seem like to much work for little gain.

I agree Mystery. I also use Skype for the AHOX collab, and it's perfect for collabs. You can show each others screen, easly share files, and you can chat.

Skypes pretty good, but it's quite bandwidth intensive, so if you have a slow internet connection, you, and the person viewing, may get frustrated.
I support this, but it's borderlining asking to add multiplayer.

I think this is quite a good idea, however I think it will be a tricky thing to make and be kept bandwidth and CPU friendly (mostly bandwidth).

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

I think this would affect the quality of algodoo (making it slower).

Yea, it's a good idea, but this is the main issue.

neither am I, I am simply stating my predictions, which could very well be way off (and probably are).

I don't reckon it'd reduce performance. Doesn't need to capture video, and transfer it. It could just, y'know, transfer the x/y positions of each object, and their attributes, and spawn it in a seperate window. So you can see pretty much exactly what their doing, without the lag
