Intel i965 Xorg driver solution

Postby tech2077 » Sun Jun 13, 2010 9:41 am

I do not believe that anyone has had a similar problem, but for refrence, I have found the fix, and it's shockingly simple. All you have to do is dig through the config.cfg and change:
Code: Select all
Resources -> {
    textures = true;
    force16BitTextures = false;
    shaders = true
};

to....
Code: Select all
Resources -> {
    textures = true;
    force16BitTextures = false;
    shaders = false
};

If fixes everything until a in-program fix, or driver repair is made.

Cheers,

Turn shaders off in the Options menu. It's under visualization. Unless of course it set shaders on at the start of Algodoo, but I doubt that happens as Algodoo should automatically turn that off if it can't handle it.

Weird, mine would crash my computer instantly, so I couldn't turn it off, and it didn't have time to detect it. This was the only way to get it to work, and will be buying now that I've tried it :).
