[Implemented]Browsing Algobox's scenes in Algodoo
Edit: (by tatt61880 on 2011.06.12 23:23)
This feature has been implemented at v1.9.4. Thanks!

For my mind, it will be good if we can use Algobox without browser - searching, downloading, uploading scenes through Algodoo. It can be integrated with "phunlets" category in Algobox, for example - I downloaded a K-probe and when there is a new version, it will notify me about that. Also, it can speed up scenes construction, for example - I need circle gears for a car, but I have no them in phunlets. I can easily find them in Algobox (through Algodoo of course) and extract them in my phunlets folder without opening a new scene and saving it to phunlets, then opening another scene, and so on.
So, how do you think - is it another "Elephant button" or a useful feature?

I remember somebody already suggested this. I think it was someone of considerable strangeness. I can't put a name on it though. Most likely someone with a mental problem.
Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Something terrible has happened.

I've searched for "Algobox" in suggestions forum, and there was no similar to my idea. Maybe it was on old forums?

It was probably suggested on a single post. I don't remember a topic.

Ok, but till there are no proof, I'll think that starting this topic was justified

Found it, though it was only in a post.

He raises a good point, although chronos did say it in a post he didn't really expand on it.
Algobox in game would be sweet.

Actually, I made a topic about it on the old forums. But yeah, I've suggested it, and I think they said they might do it.

Yes, Chronos suggested this before, sorry, Rich.
But I think this idea still haven't lost it's good, and Chronos' message gives some hope that it will be implemented in Algodoo.

would this affect the quality of the simulations?

How? I don't think that adding a scenes browser will affect on physical simulation algorithms

Re: Browsing Algobox's scenes in Algodoo
I don't think so. Only if you will run simulation and browse scenes at one time, but for my mind, it's useless. Scene browser will be called on demand, and that's why it wouldn't slow Algodoo down.
