4-sided tracers

4-sided tracers
Simple! A rectangular/square tracer that you can use on long objects that has the same effect as a regular tracer. Of course, it would be able to be scaled/ size changed. I think it's a good idea!

When you move the current tracer, the line it makes has flat sides. If you move a square tracer, the line it makes has flat sides. Therefor, you are an idiot who needs to think before posting.

He means that you can have a rectangular tracer. Now if you scale a tracer it stays a circle. But what Dare means is that you can have rectangular tracer that can have dimensions like [1,0.1] or something.

Also, Chronos, If you have a long, thin rectangle and want to add a long tracer, you could scale a circle to make a tracer path that's big enough. But then you'd have a huge circle that you wouldn't want to see.
If you had a rectangular tracer, you could fit the rectangular tracer onto the rectangle without see any of the parts of the tracer poking out, apart from its trail.
Perhaps you should think before you go calling people idiots.

No, that's still unneeded. If anything, they should just be able to be scaled without being in uniform to make ellipses instead of circles. Rectangular ones would just be a waste of time to make.
Also, the long tracer thing: It doesn't matter. The path it leaves will be the same if you use a circle. If you want the rectangular one to fit the rectangle, it'll still have to be the same size as if you use a round one (with the nonuniformable scaling, of course).

Well you could allready do this using mutiple tracers that's located close to eachother

But that's alot more work then just add a square (sorry, rectangle), and scale it to the right size.

It wouldn't have the same effect, you have to think about it. For example, if they are suppost to be a bit translucent, you would see them over lapping each other. But if you have a big rectangle, it's an even trail.

Well You do know that you need to develop the rectagular tracer. There isn't a "storage" where you can just get the code to implement a rectangular tracer.

Well that was a major point change. At first you were talking about how a bunch of tracers could achieve the effect of a rectangular tracer, now you're saying that they have to actually develop something like a rectangular tracer first(obviously). It's very confusing to know what point you're trying to make.
