Water options

Postby Matten » Sun May 30, 2010 5:56 pm

I've got this idea a few weeks ago, and I remembered it again by the anti-collision group idea.
There could be better water options for different splashes of water. So different collision groups, different color. And if you mix red and blue water you get purple water etc. There could also be density for water, viscosity for water. But then with sliders in a normal menu, just like the menu for geomitries.

so for short: multiple fluids with settings

i fully support this idea (you already might've noticed in the other topic)

Basically, there are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who know binary, and those who don't.

I support the idea, in fact, I suggested it in the old forum. I think some options, along with the ability to have different colours in fluids are good ideas. :)

I like the idea and i think there should also be a option of what consistity the water is. Say there could be a slider bar that increases the attraction between water to make it more gunky (is that even a word?) if you know what i mean.

There are already ways to do that.
Although it is something we refuse to teach newer users, as on more then one occasion we have had waves upon waves of angry newbs complaining their water is broke.

I think you mean water viscosity?
And Mystery, you're right there are already ways to do this, but with sliders you could set it easy to noarmal value. And in the normal menu of the water are the most common options, like viscosity, density, killer and killer strength (for acids and how "destructive" it is), and so on. And in the script menu are the more advanced options and the normal options, just like the script menu of an object.
