Anti-gravity buttons for separate objects

Postby Dare » Wed Jun 02, 2010 12:42 pm

I've heard this before somewhere, but it's a good idea. A button that allows gravity to be turned on/off for a single object, but not affecting any other objects!

Density = 0.010.
:O No gravity.

I suppose so, but it isnt really no gravity. It's just as light as a gas.

Thanks for quick reply, also!

Same difference. Make due with what you have so we don't have a useless feature.

The Grammatical correct term is make do, but "make due" is still understandably and widely used.
So really it just seems like your pissed that he showed you how your idea is stupid and your trying to insult him.

But there is difference between density is 0.01 and no gravity. If the density is 0.01 the object have more airfriction.

It is amazing how you look like you completely ignored the "and yeah. ok." part.

You can make an object have 'no gravity' by making the density 0.010, but I do understand that this is not actually 0 gravity, so perhaps a feature like this could be added, I don't think I'd use it much though.

Gravity has no effect on air friction. That's why turning gravity off and turning air friction off are two different buttons. If you were in space where the gravity can't really affect you, but there was air, it would be the same has having your density as 0.01.

So there's no difference. Besides, you can just change the air friction multiplier.

No, I mean that because it's lighter it's more affected by the air and other object. Just try it and will see the difference between density 0.01 and no gravity for an object with default density (2)

That has nothing to do with air friction though. That has to do with the weight of the object.

Mystery, it seems like you have something against me? I was simply correcting him as I am more familiar with the term 'make do' not 'make due'. It just sounds silly to me, so I was correcting him.

P.S. Try looking up 'make due'. Clearly everyone on the internet thinks it is wrong.

Yes, because about twenty or so people clearly make up the entire Internet.

Besides, it's an idiom. They aren't really correct. 'Make do' isn't grammatically correct either.

Oh, expect that from Mystery. He will try to make himself feel "superior" once given the chance.
