Theres no magnet that picks up the part in stamping V2, it uses a clamping system. and it works fine for me.
But if you go into more detail about whats wrong i might be able to help more. also if anyone else knows how to fix it go right ahead.
Welcome to the team aglophun!

of course you can join! we could use your expertise in many different areas. what would really help in the design process is some kind of programmable servo motor. Im almost finished a new machine that uses something similar to a programmed servo, but its all done without thyme and really complicated. i still need to figure out some scripting for my scenes. I dont believe you will kill this collab and if your still interested your welcome to join.

Well, then Ill join
How does the servo need to be controlled?

Cool, i'll sign you up.
I would like something that displays the rotational angle of the circle, and have it able to start and stop at different degrees, for example: i need a circle at 0 degrees to spin to 180 degrees then wait for conformation to return to 0.

Re: Automated machinery
k
must those things be commands? (like a pulse on pin1 to start command, and pulse on pin0 to go to 0?)
oh, and should it be phun-compitable?
EDIT:
here's an algodoo verion of a servo:
phun version coming soon

Re: Automated machinery
that looks pretty cool, I only have phun at the moment so a phun version would be great. Its hard to explain exactly what i need but thats on the right path for sure, our equipment currently starts operation with an "automation switch" that i designed. Basically its like a trigger that the part pushes when loaded into the machine that activates the sequences. this could be easily done with lasers and some scripting, although i like to stay away from scripting the benefits of a programmable servo are sweet. check out some of the machines we have here and you can see what im talking about. It would be great if it was scalable and really easy to program too if its possible.
Here is an unfinished machine called mig7, Press the red button on the left side to start. Its not finished but maybe you can see what im talking about .
its probably phun only though.

Re: Automated machinery
I made a simple servo for you. It's rly simple, and it haven't commands yet. No phun version now. It does work only in Algodoo 1.7 - it have laserz and inertiamultiplier. I can make it with AirFriction multiplier, but i tried it and i can't with same design
Here's the Algodoo 1.7 version.
And here's the PHUN version.

Re: Automated machinery
that looks really cool kutis, Im going to figure it out and see what i can do with it. Thanks.
I have no idea how to script or anything like that, so any pointers on editing script for something like this would be cool.

Re: Automated machinery
bman, you couldn't edit the script. just the controllerAcc to set the angle. Geometry controller > Controller Acceleration = angle

Re: Automated machinery
Sweet. I'll add you two, Im trying to figure out other types of parts to work with like maybe a car frame or something other than what i have been using. I'll put together a scene with some of the mechanisms that ive used. if anyone has any cool linkage or something that you think we could use post it!
