Im so Confused

I dont get collision groups, im making a lift mechanism for my marball run, i have the following things:

- A lift made off sticks attached to a chain around two wheels

- A ball

- A Green rectangle at a 45 degree angle.

I want the lift to collide with the ball but not the green rectangle.

The ball to collide with the green rectangle and the lift.

And the green rectangle to collide with th ball only.

A pic might help:



As you can see (Hopefully) The purple thing hits the green thing and the ball does too, i just dont get it...

This is easy. The chainlift is Collison A, the green box is B, tha ball is AB, and the other track is A
