Algodoo just randomly crashed (incl. log entry)

Postby pixartist » Sun Sep 06, 2009 12:11 pm

Algodoo just randomly slowed down for me and after about 5 seconds i got the "send error report to microsoft" crap...

i had no special stuff in the scene... some laser-cutters and about 50 objects thats it... the laser cutter did NOT cut some object into 1000s of pieces...

from the log:
12:09:35: -- Warning: Exception thrown: Data assertion failed: "IsFinite(m_area) && m_area>0" in function void __thiscall physics::PolygonMesh::CalcAttribs(void) in "C:\emilk\phun\trunk\Source\physics\PolygonMesh.cpp":287 from C:\emilk\phun\trunk\Source\util\Assert.cpp:37: void __cdecl AssertionFailed(const char *,bool, bool, const char *,const char *,long)

edit ... just shortly before that i got like 20 of these (until 30 secs before the crash):
12:08:58: -- Warning: Polygon transparency not supported by your computer. Try switching on shaders (anti-aliasing in the options menu), or upgrade your graphics drivers.

and 2
11:55:18: -- Warning: Bad distance map generated

but that was like 10 minutes earlier

From what i see I think that phun tried to Generate a Infinite map and it for some reason decided to render it or something.
And had a paradox due to it being endless

it just sais it tested if an "area" was >0 and finite and crashed doing so..nothing about generating there
