Got something against minor nations?

If the community was allowed to create different language packs, I would assume unit packs should be fine as well.

Heck, there's a leetspeak language pack for Algodoo. If that isn't proof of unnecessary (though cool) options, I don't know what is.

lol. your already arguing with me because of my other posts. but no i don't have anything against minor nations its just they would have to charge you more for having to make and convert tons of copies. :D

Nah, it's not your other posts, I'm just in an argumentative mood. I want to prove everyone wrong, even if they're right.

Aside from what ioncannons said, you haven't made a good name for yourself here so far. Just keep that in mind.

Metric is more common when it comes to simulation software.

Thats pretty funny, Link. The real name is Imperial, not "American," since "America" is also Canada, Mexico, and all the counties in South America. Those people use Metric, we use Imperial.

America is the only major country that uses it, so that's why he named the topic that.

That, and he thinks America is better than every other country.

Also, you're right, it's Imperial.

I do think that every program using measurements should start out metric because in all of science they use metric. If you want your program to be taken seriously you should make it metric. Plus most of the world uses it, but if you can make it slightly universal you probably have a better chance of people accepting it as a professional program though.

Nice...

So, we use the Imperial system of measures, even when the Empire changed over to Metric. It's not really the Imperial system any more because the Empire no longer uses it. I wonder how long it'll take to make the switch...

U forgot about GB, some Europe countries and avionics( miles ,feets, knots are common in avionics all ower the World)

EDIT:

Ohh major :DD

Yes, I agree that programs should support both metric system and is found in most large and popular programs such as 3DS Max, but Algodoo not so popular and not so "serious" to think through these things

I still find the title "American mode"

If you were to do imperial measurements it would be in Feet per Second, right?.

First of all, your English is impossible to understand, but what I think you are trying to say is:

Some countries in Great Britain people use Imperial. Also, sailors and pilots use imperial.

Second of all:

I don't know if the GB thing is true, but the boat/plane thing is definitely not. Being a sailor, I don't use miles, feet or mph or anything. It's all nautical miles, or knots (which you did say), but one knot is less than one mile (1Knot = roughly 1.15 Miles). Therefore, knots aren't part of the imperial system. And, more confusingly, a nautical mile is more than a mile.

did you read my post closely. i din't say imperial at all i said universal as in more then one... and i do think if you FIRST releasing your program it should be in metric... plus it was supposed to be slightly contradicting.
