all versions:
Pan button is not very useful - you can pan UP a lot but only few meters DOWN.
I think better make it like joystick - then you drag it - it scroll (pan) that way with speed proportional to drag distance (with limit of course).

"Goto" button (eye) working strange - first push it zoom to selected object, second zoom back to previous - that's logical. But is you press once, then go away and starts working with another objects and than press "Goto" again you will not zoom to object but zoom to "previous" state before you first use of that button.
My advice is "zoom back" only if camera pan/zoom not changed by hand/following.

This bug was fixed with 1.7.5.
This bug was seen with v1.6.3 - v1.7.4.

1.6.6
"Draw borders" button present in any object "Appearance" window (who need it for hinges, fixes, springs... ?).
Same with "opaqueBorder" property in script menu - shouldn't be in hinges, springs, etc. menus.

How the hell "opaqueBorders" works anyway? That property just do nothing for me (except not drawing border then "drawBorder = true").

"Appearance" windows for some object closes if I change color with dragging slider and mouse move over parent menu. Very uncomfortable. I think better keep focus on current window if user starts working with it and not switch on mouse over anything else.

You got two same material gears but different size (big and small) and same motors on each of it.
If you connect them - which direction they will rotate?

[Edit]One of my suggestion has implemented at v1.7.2 beta, thanks!
It's not so difficult to add the shadow to the font, I believe.

[Edit] ^ This suggestion has been implemented with v1.7.2 beta
See also the next suggestion.
The scale indicator drop shadow
[Edit] ^ Not yet with v1.7.2 beta

Special chars in dimensions (like small upper 2 in sq.m) displayed incorrectly if non-latin encoding used (cyrillic for example). Please don't use it or put it with appropriate font/codepage.

Support.
I've added upper 2 in my Japanese(8bit)-char-table (char-set).
However, if it doesn't have to be added in char-set, I can add one more another char in char-table.
By the way, Kilinich, what did you exactly meant by "special chars"?
"small upper 2" and "plus-minus (+ on -)" ?

Any of them - look into "font" folder "arial iso-8859-5.png" and compare to "arial iso-8859-1.png"

There should be some way to translate material menu captions. It can be easily done by allow non-latin chars read from file names (or new params in .cfg files).

How the hell "opaqueBorders" works anyway? That property just do nothing for me (except not drawing border then "drawBorder = true").
When you have something opaque you can turn off the borders, but when it is solid it will still have borders.

It makes the alpha slider affect the border's transparency, instead of just being on or off.

I find the text for the BorderHack in the logfile to be very amusing.

No one I know use that feature. Most people just turn off borders since it's width is dynamic and system-wide and cannot be saved with scene.

I think it affects the lasers behavior in the object, though.

There are two glitches about geomID and hinge.
[1] When you use brush, the hinge can be removed.

[2] When you use CSG-add, the hinge can be removed.

The change is quite cool, btw. =)

When you opened phi-file with Algodoo the phi file installation widget will appear behind the "about Algodoo" widget.
This means that we have to wait 10 seconds or move installation widget. That's a bit annoying.

I suggest that showing installer widget on the top of window.

I suggest to change border textures of tutorial for showing what number is selected.

We'll see selected number (in this case, "13") easily.
