(yep, that's the original name, Inner sphere guys just named it because its nose looked like the maraduer(Mad), and the Catapult(Cat). then they mashed it up together, and the result was Mad Cat)
is phun compatible too - no need to change formula - only the spring strength is messed up - and that wont harm it much.

yeah i always called it the madcat when i played mech warrior
and i am not sure how i could make it phun compatible and algodoo compatible maybe make 2 mechs? and have one for phun e.normal and one for algodoo e.normal?

e.normal in algodoo its NOT backwards under normal circumstances. just save it then reload it(algodoo scene), then e.normal will heep the same.
had no problems with the RA2Unit, even if it uses e.normal.
