Make hidden variables readble

Postby RaRaMalum » Fri Mar 05, 2010 4:20 pm

Angvel, vel and geomID(probably even more I've forgotten about) is all variables that would be nice to get, so my suggestion is to make them readable and maybe even writeable.

But it also allows you to do harder, more amazing things. That's what happens when you make something easier (most of the time).

i agree with chronos. maybe it's easier but that's good, too. i don't regard thyme as a "challenge" but like a "helper" to do awesome things. i welcome everything that makes thyme usage easier.
for example i once wanted to include the derivative of acceleration (jerk) into my thyme scripting. but acceleration already is not thaaat easy to calculate. to calculate jerk would be hell (or if it's still possible relatively easy crackle (2. derivative of acceleration) would be nearly impossible). if i could access velocity directly the difficulty for calculating jerk was easier.

So lets keep it complicated so people with lifes can never achieve anything thyme related in this game.
While we're at it lets stop selling washing machines or anything else that makes our lifes easier.
Because I love wasting time on stuff I don't have to/want to do.

This is a physics game, thyme is an added bonus. You should not need to learn thyme to play it, you should not need to learn thyme to use it. There is no disputing Thyme make things easier better and more efficient, if you don't know thyme your scene is obviously at a lower caliber then one that does.
So really Thyme makes our life's harder, making a need to know it.

Yes. While we're at it, let's not learn to speak. Or breath. Just because you don't need to know it doesn't mean you should make it harder for people who do. Plus, it'll just make it easier for people who want to learn it.

I support Chronos. I rarely use thyme, but it would be nice if it wasn't so limited. Plus, I could make a teleporter! (Dibs!)

With the New Method, you can only identify these properties. You can't edit them.
