Re: 1.7 beta bugs/feedback!
No Im not at all upset with this, and hopefully no one else is. I just think it is great that we are able to see how the new version is comeing along, i really like the new look. I hope you are doing a quick reread of the sugestions and bug report sections, Emil! Can't wait to see what you all come up with.

The Script menu is too large. This causes the bar at the bottom to be unusable.

Re: 1.7 beta bugs/feedback!
it's not too large for me. there's enough room even if there's a big script inside. but it seems that you get problems if the screen resolution isn't high enough. very bad.
there really should be a scroll bar to scroll through the scripting menu. just to mention it

Is your screen really big or something because not only can i not use the Text bar but a few other things get cut off like texture matrix

until a scroll bar is added, just bring up the console type GUI.scale = .85
You can adjust it accordingly... (I figure you might already know this though

Re: 1.7 beta bugs/feedback!
Well, that's my screen size. There's enough room for everything. But look at Grady's screen. It's HUGE.

Edit:
Oh, well, resizing the GUI seems to be a solution. Didn't know / think of that either

Thats fine for us but the other 99% of Algodoo users won't understand/know how to do that.

The script menu will be improved for the next release. So there, end of discussion

A question: will be realised a 32bit version of Algodoo for Linux, or only a 64bit?

Re: 1.7 beta bugs/feedback!
I have found a few bugs so far. Some of them might be mac only.
Mac OS 10.5.8
Algodoo 1.6.3
It won't display the next to last message or command you had entered.
Mac OS 10.5.8
Algodoo 1.6.3
Unicode characters unsupported.
It will print "-- Warning: Unicode characters not supported!"
Mac OS 10.5.8
Algodoo 1.6.3
Menus flash after hitting undo.
The menu option will close and open repeatedly. Only the menu option that you had used will have this error.
Mac OS 10.5.8
Algodoo 1.6.3
Right-click menu in wrong place when fixed context menu is on.
The context menu should be in the lower middle section of the screen.
Mac OS 10.5.8
Algodoo 1.6.3
Maximize does not work after maximizing the first time.
The expected result is that it will revert back to the original window size of when you first launched algodoo. In most mac applications that allow you to change the size of the window, if you click the maximize window button again it will put the size of the window back to what you had before.
Mac OS 10.5.8
Algodoo 1.6.3
Changing the GUI.scale value will make the [Option_BigUI] checkbox have a question mark.
The checkbox will have a ? as its status.
Mac OS 10.5.8
Algodoo 1.6.3
Changing the wobbleStiffness to +inf and then changing it back to the default or any number less than +inf will not affect the options menu once it is set to +inf until you relaunch Algodoo.
I will post more here as I find them. Other than the ones I have found so far, this update is great.

- Type another message or command in the console and hit return

Algodoo 1.6.3
Unicode characters unsupported.
- Press any arrow key in the console
It will print "-- Warning: Unicode characters not supported!"
Mac OS 10.5.8
Algodoo 1.6.3
Menus flash after hitting undo.
- Have Fixed context menu off
- Right-click on an object and go to any menu option that has a window come out
- Play the simulation
- Undo playing the simulation
- Hover the mouse over the menu option you had chosen before
The menu option will close and open repeatedly. Only the menu option that you had used will have this error.
Mac OS 10.5.8

- Make sure that Fixed context menu is off

- Go to the interface tab in options and look at the status for [Option_BigUI]

Re: 1.7 beta bugs/feedback!
I have a problem with springs set to over 457Nm resetting to 457Nm after i undo, even if I do a lot of other stuff then undo it it still undos the stupid spring strength.
It's like it's stuck at the top of the undo cue forever, regardless fo what else I do after I change it stuill changes back when I undo.
It's actually been doing this for a long time, even before 1.7b
I have checked by entire config and even reinstalled and used on an entirely different computer. But it's this one scene that doesn't work right. Did I make some kind of mistake here or something?
Another version of the scene is stuck to 512Nm for springs. >:( FRUSTRATION!

Did you happen to originally make this scene or components of this scene in Phun 5.28 and then loaded them in Algodoo?

Yes.
But the fact that that is a problem worries me...
Is there anything in the .phn I can change to fix it? Or will I have to start over from scratch?

Yep, select all of the springs that were made in Phun or that are giving you this problem. Then open up the scripting menu and change the "legacyMode" setting to 2.

That's because the Big Buttons option changes the GUI.scale value. Since it's not completely checked, but not completely unchecked, a question mark appears in the box.

Re: 1.7 beta bugs/feedback!
I;ve discovered another bug. I tried turning GUI.toolGestures to false, and it says that there's no "toolGestures" in GUI. Yet I checked the config file, and it says there IS a "toolGestures" in GUI.

No, it's App.GUI.toolGestures. There is no "GUI.toolGestures", but there is App.GUI.toolGestures.

Found a bug with the skins. If you try to put three or more names in the textureDIR list, only the first and default will work.

I've noticed that the plot shows the temporal-position. Nice change. =)
[Bug report] After undoing the information is not true.
+++How to reproduce this bug+++
1) show plot and start simulation.
2) stop simulation.
3) undo.
(OS: Windows 7.)

Re: 1.7 beta bugs/feedback!
Small glitch in plot. There is the typo in code for plot_output.
config file says "Plot_Energy_Potential_Gravity_Output".
However, output file says "[Plot_Energy_Potential_Gravitiy_Output]".

(Thank you for preparing plot_*_output, btw. =) )
P.S.
I suggest to show dimensions when selecting axis, like below. This will help selecting.

Re: 1.7 beta bugs/feedback!
*sigh* Yet more bugs.
Algodoo won't go full screen properly. It'll only go partially full screen and then won't let you close it. I have a picture if you want it.
Also if you go to modify hinges, and there's a range, it screws them all up.
God, I actually think this version of Algodoo is worse then the last one. It's actually progressing in REVERSE!!!
